Day 56 June 1 to Johns Hollow Shelter

It was a cool during the 21.6 miles to John's Hollow  Shelter.  At the the top 

Of Apple Orchard Mountain this FAA tower greeted me. 

Farther on "the Guillotine" gave a bit of a thrill.  

Then there was a good view from Thunder Ridge

These soft conks are supposed time edible and are called "chicken of the Forest."

The afternoon, NoraV caught up and we talked until we came to the longest footbridge on the AT.
