Day 6 Tray Mountain Shelter to Dick's Creek Gap

Tray Mountain Shelter was full with about a dozen people.  There was another dozen tents in the area around it.  It was a thriving little hiker town until everyone left for the day.  This shelter has a privy and a spring about 100 yards behind it.

Six days of growth is wondering whether it will be there after Sunday, my first zero day.

But before it can find out it's up and over Powell Mountain and down to Dick's Creek Gap.  The view's from the tops of the mountains are always worth the work it takes to get there.

At Dick's Creek I was met by the Josiah, from the Top o f Georgia Hostel.
