D9 Muskrats Creek to Betty Creek gap

The rain fell all last night.  In the morning it was still raining.  So nothing to do but put on wet boots.  But this time on went the gater and rain pants.  It was too cold to put on the wet hiking pants so I just rolled them up and strapped them to the outside if the pack.  I decided on cold breakfast and snacks later on the trail.  In one of the morning snack I had a granola bar and hit something hard.  Yup, broke a corner off my left molar second  from the back.  I'll have to get that checked out when I hit a town.

Thanks to the wet weather I saw my first salamander!

Finally the sun came out just after noon. I made 16 miles to Betty Creek gap.  But it was a long trudge in wet boots.
