Day 13 To Lost Pond Shelter

KToday started out in my motel room at 7:00. I caught up on my blog, packed and walked down to Bob's Diner for an all American breakfast of two eggs up, bacon, white toast home fries and coffee.   I walked across the street to hitch a ride to the trail and was almost immediately picked up by one of Bob's other patrons.     So I was on the trail by 9 am.

It was a beautiful sunny day that never got over 75F.  There would be three peaks to climb (and of course descend after each) : Bromley Mtn (3260') Styles Peak ( 3394'), Peru Peak (3429') and Baker Peak (2642').

Me on Bromley Mtn

There were lots of flowers in the open ski runs

There were tons off board walks ( used to  overtop the swampy bits)

Beautiful streams are everywhere.

Of course the last climb had to be over a rocky peak.

This looks like s lamp, but it's the sunlight  shining through a bit of birch bark.
